Abstract
This thesis entitled Types of Illocutionary Act used by Donald Trump in Political Speech. The writer concerns with illocutionary act that produced by Donald Trump as a President of America. The aims of this study is to describe the types as wll as the functions of illocutionary acts and dominantly used in that speech performed by Donald Trump. This research applied Miles and Huberman’s procedures namely data reduction data display and conclusion drawing. The result of the analysis of speech acts showed that the five categories of speech acts are performed in the Donald Trump’s Political Speech comparie of the highest presentage is representatives has 48 times (28.23%). The second highest is commisives has 45 times (26.47%). The other categories is expressives has 33 times (19.41%), directives has 25 times (14.70%) and declaration has 19 times (11.18%).
