Abstract
This thesis is entitled The Effect Of English Songs Towards Students’ Pronunciation And Learning Motivation (A Quasi-Experimental Research At Eight Grade Students of SMP N 3 Jepara In The Academic Year of 2019/2020). This study was aimed to examine the significant is the use of English songs media in improving students pronounciation and learning motivation. The research method that is used in this study was non equivalent control group design where it includes in Quasi-experimental research design. There were two groups of class, experimental class and control class. In the experimental class, the writer applied the english songs media and in the control class, the writer applied communicative method. The sample of this study was taken two classes which were divided into two groups, those were VIII C as the experimental group and VIII B as the control group with total of the students is 60. The instrument of this study was pronounciation test and used questionnaire. The analyse data of this study was used MANOVA in SPSS 25.0 program. In the results of this study, Multivariate test showed that in the test of between subject effect showed that the pre-test was not significant because the result of the sig. between Y1 was 0,0506 > 0,05, and the Y2 was 0,000 < 0,05, it could be said that Y1 was not significant to the X and the Y2 was significant to X. And in the test of between subject effect showed that the post-test was significant because the result of the sig. between Y1 was 0,000 < 0,05 and Y2 was 0,000 < 0,05, it could be said that the Y1 was significant to X and Y2 was significant to X. It concluded that the English songs media was effective in improving the students’ pronunciation and learning motivation of Eight Grade Students of SMP N 3 Jepara In The Academic Year of 2019/2020.
