This thesis, entitled Analysis Dell Hymes’ SPEAKING context Taken from Oliver Twist Novel, has the objective is to find out Dell Hymes’ SPEAKING context observed in Oliver Twist novel. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The researcher used documentation and taking note in method of data collection. In analyzing the data the researcher used content analysis in which to find out the information related to the problem statement. The finding of analysis says that are Oliver Twist Novel it is very suitable in analysis using Dell Hymes SPEAKING context. From the result of analysis, Dell Hymes SPEAKING context that include are Setting and scene, Participants, Act sequence, Keys, Instrumentalities, Norms, and Genre are show many sentence in the Oliver Twist Novel.
