Abstract
The study's goal is to explain how using a collaborative learning method makes students' reading comprehension better.
The author used true experiment research in this study. Before the experiment was conducted to both the experimental and control classes, there are three parts. A pre-test was given to the students. They received treatment after that. They were given a post-test at the very end.
This study's conclusion is that the collaborative learning method significantly improves students' reading skills. According to the findings of the research, the lowest post-test score in the experimental class was 20, while the highest post-test score was 68.In addition, in the control class, the highest post-test score is 56, while the lowest is 8.In addition, the median and average scores in the experimental class are 36 and 36, respectively. However, the median for the control class is 24 and the number of participants is 28,55.T-observe was 2,106 as determined by the t-test of the post-test score. The t-test in the table was 2,018, and the df was 42.Thus, this calculation demonstrated that t-observe is greater than t-table (2,106 > 2,018).This indicates that there was a significant difference in the post-test score between the experimental class and the control class.
Finally, this study's findings may provide useful information or serve as a starting point for other researchers interested in conducting studies of a similar nature.
