The research entitled The Implementation of Name Poems Technique in Developing Vocabulary through Descriptive Text (A Descriptive Research at Eighth Graders of Az-Zahra Junior High School Mlonggo in Academic Year 2016-2017). This research was purposed to investigate the achievement of students’ skill in describing their own characters uses Name Poems Technique. The subject of the research are the eight graders of Junior High School Az Zahra Mlonggo. In conducting the research, the researcher used Qualitative Descriptive research as a method. Based on the research, the researcher found the achievement of students’ vocabulary. It can be concluded that the implementation of Name Poems Technique in developing vocabulary through Descriptive Text can achieved students’ vocabulary, although the Name Poems Technique is still be rare used in education.
