Abstract

This final project is mainly concerned with the implementation of picture series in teaching speaking skill at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Jepara. This research is aimed to find out how the implementation of picture series media in teaching speaking skill at the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Jepara and to find out the factor that influence in implementing picture series media in teaching speaking skill. The design of the study was a descriptive research. The process was data reduction, data display and data conclusion. It was conducted in two meetings that covered observation, questionnaire and interview. Then I start this research on Monday, July 30th 2018 until Wednesday, 29th 2018. The first meeting was done on Friday, August 3rd 2018 and the second meeting was on Friday, August 24rd 2018. The result of this study showed that the factors that influence the teacher implemented picture series is was to make the students active in speaking classroom. The impact of the implementation picture series in teaching speaking skill was the students could give some ideas or information of collecting data from the picture. I propose that the implementation of picture series in teaching speaking skill is one ofthe appropiate media to mprove students’ speaking skill.
