Abstract
The objective of the research is to examine The Implementation of Communicative Language Teaching Method in Teaching Speaking Skill at Eleventh Grade Student of MA Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak. The researcher found that some of the students had a bad score in oral test. Because of the reason the researcher used a descriptive research. The researcher only report what has happened in the phenomena. The setting of this research was eleventh grade students of MA Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak. The subject of the research was the English teacher who teach English by using Communicative Language Teaching Method in Teaching Speaking Skill. The instrument that used by the researcher was classroom observation during the teaching and learning process in the classroom. It was to elaborate the implementation of CLTin teaching speaking skill at 11th MA Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak. The second instrument was interview to the English teacher to identify the teachers’ difficulties in implementing CLT in teaching speaking skill at MA Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak. And the third instrument was conducted the documentation. It was for took documentation to get the real information that related to the phenomena. The result of this research was the implementation of communicative language teaching in teaching speaking skill was relevant with the structures in Communicative Language Teaching Method. In this method, told that student must be active to communicate their English speaking skill naturally without cares about their grammar. So.the teacher had good idea to support the material by using media likes LCD Projector, short video and Power Point Presentation, Laptop, Speaker Active, Origami Paper and etc. And the problem faced by the teacher was from the students in mastering the vocabularies. The students in the eleventh grade school of MA Mamba’ul Ulum Mambak had the weakness in their vocabularies. So that was the reasons of student did not enjoyed and scared in practice to speak English, especially in front of class.The final conclusion was Communicative Language Teaching Method could be implemented in teaching and learning process, especially in teaching speaking and writing for student. The students could learnt to practice to speak naturally without care about their grammar. Then, to solve the problem faced by the teacher was motivation and students’ participation would be increased when teacher explained the material by using media to support the method.
