Abstract

The research of this thesis was conducted at the State Senior High School 1 Bangsri on the tenth grade students. The researcher would like to know how to implement the method in teaching Descriptive text writing that were Presentation Practice and Production (PPP) Method because the researcher got some problems in the tenth grade students. There were students are difficult to write the text in English, then students always get conventional way in teaching Descriptive text writing. In this research, the researcher used qualitative data in order to find out the way to solve the problems in the classroom and doing the observations for collecting the data. The researcher used triangulation method that consists of three steps. The first reduction data, it was used for analyzing the interview transcript from students and teacher. The second display data, it was used to analyze the data got from the observations and giving questionnaires in the class. The last making conclusion/ verification, it was used to give clear analysis about the implementation of the method. From the result of this research that got from the interview, there were relevant answered from the teacher and the students. After that, the researcher found that the used of Presentation Practice and Production (PPP) method in teaching Descriptive text writing made a good improvement of the students. It has been proven with the students’ score above the average that got from the three meeting. The data was got from three times of the observation in the class. Besides that, the students’ participation and the students’ enthusiasm were increased too. The students also had to be active in the teaching and learning process. It was got from the questionnaire that was given by the researcher for the students. From the result of the research, it could be concluded that the implementation of Presentation Practice and Production (PPP) method in teaching Descriptive text writing gave the better effect for the students. The students more actives, had good enthusiasm in teaching and learning process.
