Abstract
This thesis entitled An Analysis of Teacher Talk and Students Talk in English Class (Descriptive Research at Eleventh Grade of Man Bawu Jepara in the Academic Year of 2018 / 2019) by Siti Humaidah Ariyani has objectives to find out the general description of teacher talk and students talk and identify the type of classroom interaction of eleventh grade of MAN Bawu Jepara. The subjects of this study are English teacher and eleventh graders of language major of MAN Bawu Jepara. To collecting the data, the writer use technique of Flander’s Interaction Analysis Categories Sistem (FIACS) and uses two instruments; 1) Observation of Tally Sheet and Recording. The finding of the reserach was teacher talk is 62,08% and she students talk is 36,49% and silence is 0,95%. Based on data above, indicated that the predominat interaction pattern was Teacher Talk and the less dominant interaction pattern was Students Talk. It can be concluded that the type of classroom interaction was “Teacher Dominate the Classroom Interaction”. Because the teacher more active than the students.
