Abstract
The objective of this research is to develop bedtime stories book for teaching listening to eleventh grade students at MA Al Faizin Guyangan Jepara. The subject of this research is 23 students. The research design of this research is based on the design from Sugiono (2016: 298), the steps are: potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, usage trial, product revision, and mass production. The data were gathered through tests which were delivered into pretest and posttest. The result of the research showed that bedtime stories book make a significant difference in teaching listening for students at the eleventh grade. The students' listening skill test result of the eleventh grade of MA Al Faizin Guyangan Jepara in the academic year of 2020/2021 before using bedtime stories book has the average score (mean) = 76.52. The students' listening skill test result of the eleventh grade of MA Al Faizin Guyangan Jepara in the academic year of 2020/2021 after using bedtime stories book has the mean = 83.47. It indicates that the students' listening skill in using a bedtime stories book is better and get raises, because the result of posttest is higher than the result of pretest. Thus, it can be said that bedtime stories book is effective in improving students' listening skill at the eleventh grade students of MA Al Faizin Guyangan Jepara in the academic year of 2020/2021. Based on the calculation of t-value (2.393) is higher than significance 5% of t-table (1.717). It shows that the alternative hypothesis of this research is accepted because it has proven that there is a significant difference between the students' skill of the eleventh grade of MA Al Faizin in using bedtime stories book.
