Abstract

The objectives of this research were to find out any errors and to know the dominant of error that found in students’ descriptive text writing at tenth grade of MA Matholi’ul Huda Bugel 2018/2019. This research used qualitative descriptive research. This research conducted at MA Matholi’ul Huda Bugel Kedung Jepara. The subject of this research were the tenth grade of MA Matholi;ul Huda Bugel Kedung Jepara Class IPA 2. The data were gathered through writing test. The data that used in this study is an error analysis of students’ descriptive text writing at tenth grade of MA Matholi’ul Huda Bugel Kedung Jepara 2018/2019 academic year. This study was conducted following procedures of the error analysis. The findings of this study showed the total errors of omission are 37 errors (19.37%), the total error of addition are 12 errors (6.28%), the total errors of misformation are 118 errors (61.78%), and total errors of misordering are 24 errors (12.57%). The dominant of error is misformation.
